Team Lead – Industrial Software Engineering Location: Near Louvain-La-Neuve Employment type: Payroll/Full-time An innovative industrial technology company is seeking a Team Lead – Industrial Software Engineering to oversee a small team of 6 software engineers. This role blends hands-on technical work with team leadership and project coordination — ideal for a Senior Software Engineer ready to take their first step into management or an experienced Team Lead looking for a new challenge in a technical, collaborative environment. As Team Lead, you will manage and mentor a team of software engineers working on solutions that connect industrial devices (RF amplifiers, filters, I/O, etc.) You’ll be involved throughout the full lifecycle — from design and prototyping to deployment and support — ensuring that both technical excellence and team performance remain high. Lead and mentor a team of 6 software engineers, balancing administrative and technical responsibilities. Design, develop, test, and document industrial software solutions that interface hardware and supervisory systems. Oversee the full component lifecycle — including analysis, factory deployment, documentation, and R&D testing. Collaborate cross-functionally with electronics, RF, and system architecture teams. Support the factory and operations teams to ensure smooth product deployment. Maintain and improve configuration tools developed in C# .NET . Contribute to continuous improvement across software practices and development workflows. Strong programming experience in C++ and C# , comfortable working across both. Solid understanding of Linux app deployment and administration . Interest in industrial or embedded systems integration. Exposure to JavaScript, TypeScript, or Angular . Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and SNMP . Awareness of cybersecurity fundamentals (OWASP, IEC 62443). Motivational and approachable leadership style — able to guide, coach, and develop team members. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Adaptable, with the ability to shift between technical deep dives and people management tasks. Languages English: fluent (written and spoken). French: a strong asset. Other languages: an advantage.
