CMS is looking for a mid-level associate to strengthen its corporate/M&A law team in Brussels.
Profile:
- You hold a Belgian law degree with enviable academic results
- You are bilingual in French and in English or in Dutch and in English
- You have gained four to seven years' experience in the corporate/M&A department of a reputable business law firm
- You have strong analytical and communication skills and a creative mind, with a sense of initiative and a real interest in business life
- Accuracy, rigor, availability and responsiveness are among your additional qualities
- You display real team spirit
Main responsibilities:
- Advise national and international group companies on a broad range of corporate matters, from routine matters to complex M&A transactions and other clients' key business and corporate decisions. Our clients include domestic and non-Belgian companies active in all industry sectors as well as financiers, private equity houses and venture capital players. Our international reach provides our clients with a consistent quality of service for their local and international developments
- Coordinate with the various foreign CMS law firms and the different CMS Belgium departments, to experience the multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary approach to client work and transactions
- Depending on your seniority, manage files from start to finish with a satisfying degree of independence, under the supervision of a team leader
