Your challenges Reporting to the Space & Defense Business Line Officer and the CEO, and working closely with our business development, engineering, and production teams, you will drive the expansion of our high-tech B2B customer portfolio and boost global sales. You promote a unique method of selling innovation services and ensure full alignment with the Group’s strategic standards and best practices. Understanding and promoting Lambda-X services through networking, prospection missions, participation in international trade fairs and shows, setting-up and exploiting digital marketing techniques, leveraging the existing tools of the Verhaert group. Responding to inquiries and quotation requests, looking for new opportunities with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities by analyzing the market trends and competition. Managing key accounts and customer satisfaction through adequate communication and meeting management. Managing sales process internally in good coherence with the company’s EN9100 quality system to ensure that customers’ requirements as well as commercial objectives (quality, delivery times, deliverables…) are well fulfilled. You actively contribute to the pleasant working atmosphere and share your ideas to improve ways of working leading to company success.

Your profile To be able to do this, you probably are: Looking for more variation and challenges in your current job (we work for several markets, on several innovation challenges for governmental or international agencies, large and small companies). Eager to enrich your understanding of high-tech markets dynamics and innovation drivers in the industry. Happy to make your clients succeed. Entrepreneurial. You make the difference by being creative, motivational, inspirational and solution oriented. Energized through prospecting markets, through managing varied stakeholders (Production, R&D, …) and through discussing technical solutions with industrial customers.

Your competences You hold a master’s degree in

commercial engineering , economics, or product development, and you are genuinely

driven by technology and innovation . You have a successful first experience in business development, with a proven international footprint in the

Space and/or Defense sectors . You are commercially minded and skilled at building strong relationships with directors and C-level executives. Fluency in

English and French

is an absolute must. Dutch and German are a big plus. You demonstrate a strong drive to expand your knowledge of the optical business and new product development. You have superb interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build trusted relationships with customers.
