  • The company plays a vital role in the production of critical aerospace components and assemblies.
  • The company is based in the Brussels area.

  • Prepare RFQ files and bidders' lists or provide support.
  • Create shortlists based on received offers and four pillars analysis (Total Cost, Quality, Technical, Logistics).
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms.
  • Initiate the Best and Final Offer (BAFO) phase.
  • Act as a plant's supplier-focused business partner.
  • Manage suppliers using assigned KPIs.
  • Develop suppliers into strategic partners.
  • Efficiently handle procurement contract data.
  • Balance total cost of ownership vs. best cost country.
  • Execute contracts with advanced legal insight.
  • Assist in preparing yearly budgets and purchasing business plans.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities for Total Cost optimization.
  • Monitor monthly procurement indicators for performance.
  • Track corporate-level supplier revenue trends.
  • Keep the organization informed about price/contractual changes

  • Education: master's degree preferably
  • Minimum of 5 years of Buyer experience in manufacturing (preferably aerospace).
  • Languages: proficient in English; Dutch and/or French preferred, German is a plus.
  • Proficient in Lean principles and Project Management Tools.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and planning processes.
  • Strong analytical and proactive vendor/commodity management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Flexible thinker.
  • Results-driven and takes ownership of projects.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%) > Global scope
