Maschio Gaspardo is a global manufacturer of agricultural machinery, with over 2,000 employees worldwide. Following the acquisition of our former importer in the Benelux, we have launched our own subsidiary based in Ham, Belgium, and are currently integrating operations into our SAP-based global system. We distribute technical agricultural equipment via a strong network of independent dealers across Belgium and the Netherlands.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our new Belgian subsidiary and play a central role in both the system integration phase and the ongoing financial and administrative management of the company.
You will work alongside the General Manager, manage all day-to-day accounting, and act as the link between the local entity and the Group's central finance team.
This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, fluent in SAP, and ready to grow in an international group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration from the current system into SAP, ensuring data accuracy and process alignment.
- Coordinate with the Group Finance team to implement group-level reporting, procedures, and controls.
- Manage daily accounting: invoices, VAT, general ledger, payroll entries, and financial controls.
- Issue invoices to dealers, register incoming supplier invoices, and manage payment cycles.
- Oversee the registration of employees in local social systems and corporate databases.
- Prepare monthly closings and provide all necessary financial reports in line with corporate rules.
- Monitor cash flow, assist in budget planning and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with Belgian fiscal and social regulations.
- Liaise with external partners: accountants, auditors, tax authorities.
Profile and Requirements
- Fluent in Dutch & English (mandatory); French is a plus.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP (required).
- Background in accounting, controlling, or finance with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in a B2B distribution or industrial environment, ideally involving a dealer network.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting and social security regulations.
- Detail-oriented, autonomous, structured, and committed to deadlines.
- Available quickly and eager to take on responsibility in a growing international environment.
- Motivated to evolve within the Maschio Gaspardo Group and contribute to its development.
