About the Opportunity

An established and internationally recognised multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a large-scale data centre development in Mons, Belgium.

Operating across mission-critical, advanced manufacturing, life sciences and infrastructure sectors, the organisation delivers complex capital projects within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.

This role is central to leading commissioning (Cx) strategy and execution on a technically demanding data centre project, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations from installation through to handover.

The Role

As Commissioning Manager, you will lead all commissioning activities on-site, acting as the primary interface between the commissioning team, client stakeholders and wider project delivery teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead commissioning (Cx) activities across mechanical, electrical and process systems.

Develop and manage the commissioning plan aligned with client objectives and project milestones.

Oversee installation verification, testing, energisation and system handover.

Prepare and execute commissioning protocols in line with project-specific requirements.

Coordinate commissioning activities with engineering, quality and production teams.

Represent the commissioning function in client meetings, site visits, audits and technical reviews.

Support troubleshooting, issue resolution and system optimisation activities.

Manage commissioning resources and control project hours in line with budget expectations.

Ensure all commissioning activities are delivered in accordance with health, safety and quality standards.

About You

You are an experienced commissioning professional with a strong track record delivering mission-critical or data centre projects.

Essential requirements:

Proven experience in commissioning on mission-critical, data centre or electronics projects.

Strong technical expertise in either mechanical/process or electrical commissioning.

Demonstrated experience operating as a Commissioning Lead or Manager.

Ability to manage commissioning activities through to completion under tight programme constraints.

Strong understanding of health, safety and quality compliance within commissioning environments.

Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams and client-facing roles.

Desirable:

Experience on large-scale data centre developments.

Exposure to high-value, fast-track construction environments.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
