We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Compliance Assistant to be part of our compliance team. As a Compliance Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and compliance of regulations, non-financial reporting (CSRD, packaging declarations), sustainability & social reporting (ESG) and data protection (GDPR), in line with the evolving needs and changing regulations. You will perform various administrative duties and compliance activities while working closely with other departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, IT, Corporate, etc.) and field operations to ensure the company is operating within all regularly requirements. You must be able to work well independently as well as be a contributing member to various cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will: Assist in non-financial reporting requirements (e.g., CSRD, Packaging/WEEE/BAT declarations, etc.). Assist in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting requirements and sustainability projects. Adhere to regulatory reporting guidelines and filing deadlines. Assist in a variety of business projects to ensure a smooth implementation from a compliance point of view. Ensure that the organization is compliant with current privacy laws and regulations: You provide advice regarding compliance with the requirements of the GDPR and the minimum standards of security for processing within the organization. You coordinate and assist the organization in the preparation and maintenance of the register of processing activities. You ensure continuous awareness and training of staff regarding GDPR. You are involved in various projects for the privacy aspects, and you examine risks associated with the processing of information. Where possible, you propose solutions to deal with these adequately. Applicants should ideally: Be in possession of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience. You have a lot of appetite for compliance work. The rapid evolution and changes in compliance do not deter you and you are eager to learn. Have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Be pro-active and show strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. Be a real team player, reliable, flexible, respectful, highly motivated. Able to work independently in an international environment. Have an excellent knowledge of English and Dutch. Professional experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: non-financial reporting, compliance, GDPR, ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance), EPR (extended producer responsibility), product compliance.
