Privacy Praxis has extensive experience in data privacy, with over 10 years of expertise even before the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was published. Since the GDPR was enacted in May 2016, Privacy Praxis has been one of the first consulting firms to invest in understanding the requirements and the impact the regulation would have on medium and large organizations. In this context, we partner with companies from various sectors, supporting them in building their roadmap to success, designing action plans, and providing specialized resources to achieve their objectives. Our clientele includes most of the financial institutions active in Belgium, as well as organizations from a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, healthcare, marketing, manufacturing, and others. Privacy Praxis also provides DPO as a service for our EU, US, and UK customers, as well as multinational organizations. In a global environment where collecting, processing, and storing data is vital for businesses, Privacy Praxis partners with organizations to offer end-to-end data protection solutions. Due to increased demand, we are expanding our team and are seeking to hire a Data Protection Specialist. The role Provide data protection advice with a focus on GDPR compliance to selected customers. Act as Data Protection Officer (DPO) as a service for our customers. Support the development of customers' GDPR frameworks and the implementation of their data protection strategies. Engage in data protection projects, such as mapping data flows, performing Pias, assessing third parties, etc. Document the progress of related projects and communicate results and challenges to the customer's stakeholders. Your profile Project management skills Previous experience as a DPO, 2-4 years University degree in law, ICT law Knowledge of GDPR, Pias, and related legislation Knowledge of ISO 27001-27002 is desired Strong knowledge of GDPR and Belgian Privacy Law Preferably trilingual (English, Dutch, French) Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent communication skills and ability to engage efficiently with customer stakeholders Ability to work with cross-functional teams and advocate for data privacy initiatives Target-oriented and eager to learn, with a pragmatic mindset Certification in Data Protection desirable (e.g., IAPP, EIPA, etc.) Experience in the healthcare sector or administration What we offer A challenging role with exposure to various business customers across sectors A flexible and target-oriented team with a genuine passion for data protection Competitive salary package Opportunities to work with international and domestic customers Office located in Brussels Homeworking one day per week Car/Mobility package Internal employee position only
