What you can expect

You will be the central point of contact for databases and database structures in the IT department of the Fire Directorate and will be responsible for the corresponding IT service. You will support your colleagues in the design of new databases and in the installation and configuration of specific operational IT services. Among other things, the focus is on the databases of the fire department's own geo-information system, the operations control system and the operation of the interface manager - the central data hub for all Bavarian control centers.

You have

  • a successfully completed university degree in the field of computer science, administrative informatics or business informatics or
  • a successfully completed university degree or equivalent skills and experience, in each case with many years (at least three years) of professional experience in the IT sector

In particular, you will have

  • Expertise: with Oracle or OpenSource databases, modern database architectures, in the development of web applications, experience in the use of MSSQL
  • Result and goal orientation, in particular analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills, in particular the ability to present complex relationships in an understandable way

The following are an advantage

  • Experience in the environment of authorities and organizations with security tasks
  • Experience in the use of MSSQL databases, especially in the GIS environment
