The Finance Director – International will provide leadership and support in order to contribute to the achievement of the company's strategic goals through the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of the Region including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.
Key Accountabilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement financial strategies and forecasting and scenario planning
Partner with senior management to align financial goals with the Companies Strategic objectives
Reporting and Analysis:
Oversee financial statements, reports and regulatory filings
Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to the CEO – International, International Executive Team, CFO – Therapeutics and International, and Group CFO to support decision-making
Cashflow and Treasury:
Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions and oversees treasury functions
Risk Management:
Identify, assess and manage strategic financial risks faced by the organization
Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and adherence to internal control policies across financial reporting activities.
Implement and maintain SOX-compliant processes and internal controls, ensuring accurate and transparent financial reporting.
Ensure all financial data is compliant with local GAAP, IFRS, SOX and undergoes the appropriate level of review.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure proper SOX documentation, control testing, and compliance reviews.
Ensure effective financial systems, processes, procurement assessment and support, internal controls, and adherence to policy for Telix JV partners
Partner with key service providers to maintain accounting and reporting against organizational requirements and implement key tools and systems to ensure effective tracking and reporting.
Implement effective financial controls as appropriate to ensure performance to plan and Telix policies.
Capital Structure and Financing:
Evaluate funding options, negotiate with lenders, and make recommendations on debt and equity structures
In partnership with the CFO – Therapeutics and International, manage relationships with lenders and strategic partners.
Strategic Financial Decision-Making:
Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by the CEO – International, International Executive Team and the Global Executive Team
Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and capital allocation strategies
Assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives and advises on their feasibility and profitability
Key Stakeholder management:
In partnership with the CFO – Therapeutics and International, manage relationships with lenders and strategic partners by participating in meetings and providing supporting information
Manage regional relationships with external financial partners such as auditors, financial institutions and others as required
Communicate the businesses financial performance, strategy, and prospects to key stakeholders
Leadership:
As a key member of the International Executive Team, the Finance Director - International contributes to leadership of the business, and provides guidance to the finance department and other related teams
Ensure the development and retention of a high-performing finance team and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant business discipline required
10+ years' combined experience in a large accounting firm or listed organization required
Qualification as a CPA, Chartered Accountant or with equivalent local professional accounting body
A good technical accounting knowledge in local accounting standards for the Region and familiarity with IFRS
A good knowledge of EMEA related VAT issues
Well-developed spreadsheet and modelling skills
Experience in reporting to and interacting with senior stakeholders: C-suite, banks, etc.
Experience in working with ERP and preferably SAP
Knowledge and experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceuticals industries is a big plus
