Hiring a Front-End Software Engineer – AI & Voice Technology

We're looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to help build the interfaces of the OS of care.

You'll work on voice-first, AI-powered applications deployed across web, mobile and real-world devices, with high ownership and close collaboration with the founding team.

The impact is direct, the problems are hard, and the product is already used on the field.

The Role

We're looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to help design and build the interfaces of the OS of care.

You'll work on voice-first, AI-powered applications deployed across web, mobile and real-world devices (TVs, boxes, smartphone, telephony,..).

The product is already in production. The impact is direct. The problems are hard and deeply human.

What you'll do

• Design and build Kando's user-facing interfaces (Web, Mobile, TV)
• Create voice-first user experiences (real-time audio, visualizations)
• Handle complex state management (async events, WebSockets, streaming)
• Optimize performance (smooth animations, 60 fps, constrained devices)
• Contribute to our mobile-first roadmap (Flutter)
• Help build and maintain a shared design system
• Develop internal tools (dashboards, business metrics)

The stack

• Frontend: React, React Native, TypeScript, Flutter
• Backend: Python (FastAPI), Rust (Axum)
• AI: PyTorch, HuggingFace
• Messaging: WebSockets, AMQP, HTTP
• Infra: GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Scaleway

Who you are

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in React & TypeScript
• High attention to UX, accessibility and simplicity
• You write tests (unit, end-to-end) as part of your workflow
• Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
• Empathetic mindset — building for seniors requires care and precision

• Bonus: Flutter, backend (Python/Rust), WebSockets, audio or voice AI experience.
