Functional Analyst (Education – Brussels) – FreelanceA customer of ours in the Education sector in Brussels is looking for a Functional Analyst to join their team as a freelance consultant.They are a leading educational institution currently undergoing a large-scale digital transformation, focused on improving student services, learning platforms, and internal operations. They’re investing heavily in modernizing their technology landscape and delivering smarter, more user-friendly tools for students, teachers, and administrative staff.Role:Gather and translate business needs from a wide range of users including students, academic staff, and administrative teamsFacilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to map current processes and identify pain pointsTranslate business requirements into clear, detailed functional specifications and user storiesWork closely with development teams, UX/UI specialists, and testers throughout the delivery lifecycleSupport functional testing and user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality outcomesContribute to change management and adoption initiatives to ensure solutions land successfully with end usersHelp define future-state processes and improvements to digital learning tools and platformsRequirements:5+ years’ experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst in digital transformation or IT change projectsExperience working in Agile environments (Scrum experience preferred)Previous experience in the Education sector is a bonus but not essentialAdditional Details:START DATE: ASAPDURATION: 12 Months (extensions expected)CONTRACT: FreelanceLOCATION: BrusselsONSITE POLICY: Hybrid – 2 days onsite, remainder remoteHOURS PER WEEK: 40LANGUAGES: English + FrenchINTERVIEW PROCESS: 1-stage video or onsite interview
