For the Infrastructure division of our client based in Brussels, we are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer.
The Geotechnical Engineer will work within the team responsible for conducting project studies and overseeing their execution

• Defining needs and selecting methods for : Soil investigation (geotechnical, geophysical, hydrogeological, geological), Foundation techniques (pile foundations, soil improvement, shallow foundations), Stability issues (retaining walls, slope stability, etc.)
• Preparing technical specifications for the above.
• Interpreting the results of soil investigations.
• Performing standard and advanced calculations, terrain modeling, and soil-structure interaction analysis.
• Supervising the execution of works.

• Civil or industrial engineer in construction, mining/geotechnics, or agricultural engineering.
• Experience in calculations within the discipline and specialization/interest in geotechnics.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn geotechnical software packages (Plaxis, Flac, D-series, Foxta, etc.).
• Strong language skills in Dutch, French, and English.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, make decisions easily, listen actively, and provide tailored solutions to clients.
• Dynamic, flexible, and responsible.
• Looking for a mix of fieldwork and office work.
