Lead the consolidation and reporting function at Group level40 entities to consolidate in IFRS
About Our ClientA European industrial group operating in multiple countries is reinforcing its Group Finance structure and is hiring a Head of Consolidation & Group Reporting. The group works with complex operations, numerous entities and a strong international footprint, requiring robust reporting frameworks and high-quality consolidated financials. The company will soon open its offices in Walloon Brabant.
Job DescriptionYou will lead the consolidation and reporting function, oversee IFRS compliance, and safeguard the accuracy, consistency and timeliness of group accounts. As a key advisor to senior finance leadership, you will drive harmonisation of accounting practices and continuous improvement of the consolidation environment.
Key Responsibilities
Steer the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation under IFRS
Ensure quality and completeness of consolidated accounts (eliminations, minority interests, acquisitions/divestments...)
Lead the preparation of the group's statutory financial statements and quarterly reporting
Act as main point of contact for external auditors
Manage and optimise the consolidation system (HFM or equivalent)
Develop reporting structures, dashboards and closing‐process improvements
Support M&A activities (PPA, integration, system setup)
Collaborate closely with FP&A, treasury and local accounting teams.
The Successful Applicant
Master's degree in Finance/Accounting; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA...) is an asset
6-10 years of experience in consolidation or audit within an international context
Strong IFRS expertise and ability to handle complex accounting topics
Rigorous, analytical and comfortable with tight deadlines
Excellent communication with the ability to influence stakeholders across countries
Fluent in English and French (Dutch is a plus).
