The Information Management Specialist will support the implementation and ongoing operations of the information management strategy within KPMG in Belgium. This role is critical in ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The position involves working with various stakeholders to manage structured and unstructured data, implement data retention policies, enhance authorization management, but also to work towards a unified document management strategy within the organization.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDraft and implement an information management policy, procedures and governance model including a document lifecycle strategy, includingAssist in the evaluation and selection of information management tools and technologiesServe as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure efficient management of information resourcesInform and train end users on information management policies, processes, and procedures.Support end users on the use of information management systems and best practicesMonitor information management systems for compliance and efficiency.Provide ongoing support to ensure compliance with established guidelines. Collaborate with the risk and compliance teams to identify and mitigate risks.Handle day-to-day administrative tasks related to information managementClassifying and labeling data and information.Anonymization of dataImplementing data retention policiesEnhancing authorization management (Need to Know).QualificationsPreferable a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Library Science, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information management or a related role.Familiarity with document management systems (preferably iManage and/or SharePoint) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams).Ability to work independently as well as in project teams and you take ownership and responsibility.Strong understanding of data governance, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR), and best practices in information management.
