Robotics Junior Mechanical Engineer (M/F)

At Yamabiko Europe, our mission is to create the bridge that bonds people and nature with the future. We provide innovative solutions for robotized mowing technologies and outdoor power equipment (OPE).

In order to grow further, address new markets and better serve our customers, we are looking for a Robotics Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D Mechanical Team, based in Wavre, Belgium.

Let's talk about your role

As a first step, your priority will be to get acquainted with our products and way of working, and to contribute to the daily work of your team. Your role and responsibility will cover varied areas related to the robotics products and accessories :

  • Create and update 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of components, assemblies, and systems in SolidWorks.
  • Manage product data in SolidWorks PDM, including Bills of Materials (BoM), exploded views, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the production team to write and maintain assembly instructions and production manuals.
  • Support the after-sales service team in maintaining the spare parts catalog, including exploded views and references for distributors.
  • Participate in prototyping and validation activities, including mechanical testing, measurements, and prototype assembly.
  • Contribute to defining product specifications and support supplier selection with the Purchasing team.
  • Work closely with other departments (Electronics, Software, Production, Sales, After-Sales, Purchasing) to ensure technical consistency across projects.

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of SolidWorks (or equivalent tools) : 3D modeling, drawings, BoM management...
  • Ability to write clear, well-structured technical documentation.
  • High level of accuracy, methodology, and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Hands on approach to analyze assemblies from production and improve production tools (close contact with production and after-sales workshops).
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Working knowledge of technical English (written and spoken) to write technical documents and exchange with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of French (written and spoken) to write internal documents and have close collaboration with production team (native French speaking workers).

Easy reachable by car and public transportation, our office is located in Wavre, 25km south of Brussels.
