Avantor is looking for a Logistic Lab Support to join her expanding team in Leuven. Are you highly motivated and are you passionate about sciences? Then this might be a great opportunity!

As a Logistic Lab Support Associate, you are involved in Inventory Management and general lab support. It's your responsibility to make sure lab equipment is available so Analysts can put their focus on Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.
This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours. This day job doesn't include shift or weekend work. This is a temporary job of 6 months due to a long-term absence. You will be based at our customer site, with location in Leuven in a brand-new laboratory. Interested? - Let's talk!

The team
This laboratory has recently been created and is still in full expansion. You will be working in a team of 7 to 8 associates and will be in close collaboration with the customer.

This team is part of our department Lab and Product Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.
How you will thrive and create an impact
Inventory Management:

• Maintain stock levels by counting stock, placing orders and following up on them
• Receive incoming good, scan them, register them in the system and distribute to the right location to make sure lab equipment is available at all time
• Manage returned goods and check on damages
• Maintain the Inventory Manager, the internal IT system, to make sure digital information is up to date

Logistic Lab Support:

• Manage waste by collecting biowaste, unpack materials and sort waste
• Coordinate the lab coat turn-over for cleaning
• Prepare buffers for Analysts
• Clean analytical lab equipment such as water baths, incubators, benches etc.
• Check on gas pressure
• Wash glassware

What we're looking for

• Education: General high school degree
• Experience: Not required, strong motivation and being eager to learn are most important
• Certification(s): Driver's license and car are preferred
• Collaboration Tool: Good basic skills in MS Office
• Preferred Qualifications:Strong communication skills in English and good in French (Level B2)
