Mechanical Project Engineer – Chocolate Processing

Location: Wieze, Belgium

Work Setup: Onsite

Contract Type: Freelance / ZZP

Contract Length: 12 months

Start: Immediate

A chocolate production facility in Wieze is executing several capacity expansion projects across processing and packaging lines. They are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead installation and integration of processing equipment.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead installation of chocolate processing equipment including mixers, refiners, conches and tempering systems
• Design and coordinate stainless steel piping systems (liquid chocolate, cocoa butter, ingredients)
• Oversee installation of pumps, heat exchangers and dosing systems
• Ensure systems meet hygienic design standards (EHEDG)
• Coordinate contractors during installation and commissioning phases
• Support start-up and performance testing of new production lines

Requirements

• Experience in food processing or confectionery production environments
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and hygienic piping
• Experience with thermal processes and temperature-controlled systems
• Experience leading installation and commissioning activities
• Dutch Speaking
