What a day as a Principal Privacy Consultant looks like

Develop and oversee comprehensive privacy programs for clients

Provide expert, customized advice based on decisions of Belgian SA and regulatory updates

Guide clients in embedding privacy by design/default principles into their processes

Review and adapt client data processing activities to ensure compliance

Conduct thorough privacy scans/audits and update roadmaps for continuous improvement

Draft high-quality documents tailored for different stakeholders, from management to C-level

Act as the lead for data breach incidents and promote awareness

Identify opportunities to enhance client services and outcomes

Maintain strong communication with regulatory bodies and represent CRANIUM with professionalism

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain privacy roadmaps and strategies

Provide tailored regulatory advice and guidance based on legal developments

Conduct and adapt DPIAs/TIAs as necessary

Map data flows and establish data governance procedures

Deliver privacy training and awareness initiatives

Oversee third‑party vendor assessments and enforce DPA compliance

Lead incident response management for data breaches and develop response plans

Create comprehensive documentation and reports, ensuring GDPR accountability

Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and departments

Mentor and support less experienced colleagues

Manage complex projects and ensure timely delivery

Who You Are

You’re passionate about digital law and excited about keeping up with emerging trends and technologies

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Data Science, or Criminology

6+ years of relevant experience in data protection

DPO Certificate

Ideally CIPP/E certified

Strong knowledge of GDPR, Belgian data privacy laws, and relevant global standards/laws

Knowledge of ISO 27001, 27701 is highly desirable
