Then we have the opportunity for you!What you doWithin our Business Product Development department, we are looking for reinforcement in the 'Product Development Firefighter Clothing' team.As a (junior) product developer you are responsible for the development and creation of firefighters protective clothing.You analyze and interpret a project that is brought to you by the sales or product manager. You take into account customer needs, price, comfort, protection standards, etc.You work closely with RD and the Product Manager Fire, in coming up with the right protective concept.You work out and draw a design and you make a complete technical file that includes all (seam) sections. This technical file is the guideline for the pattern department, sample workshop and production.You draw up a complete bill of material and order the necessary materials through the purchasing department to have your samples made.You translate the design and technical file to the pattern maker and work closely with the pattern department for this. You then supervise the sample workshop to turn your creations into a finished product.You calculate the times needed to produce the protective clothing and give a price calculation on that basis. You take into account the optimization (standardization) and the possibilities in production.You do all this within a specific timing and you follow a schedule carefully to do so.You report to the business development director and to product manager Fire.Who you areYou have a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology/Textile Technology or relevant experience and a strong interest in textiles and creation.You have knowledge of drawing cross-sections and time interpretation (m.t.m.), type of seams and associated machinery.You work autonomously, driven and result-oriented, with a sense of detail, organization and planning.You are willing to travel abroad to a limited extent. (1x, max 2x/year)You have a fluent knowledge of Dutch and French.
