About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Modular Construction Technical Lead to join our team for a major project based in Mons. Reporting directly to the Modular Construction Project Manager, you will be the technical cornerstone of our operations on the client's site.
Your primary goal is to provide electrical and mechanical expertise and leadership to ensure the successful installation of our modules. You will act as the key link between our internal teams (Design, Logistics), the General Contractor, and the Client's engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & Installation Supervision
- Lead the installation: Provide clear technical direction and instructions to the General Contractor and their subcontracting teams regarding the assembly of modules.
- Master the technical details: Possess thorough knowledge of the assembly plans for various modules to serve as the subject matter expert on-site.
- Guidance: Proactively guide assembly teams during complex phases or when technical adjustments are required.
2. Coordination & Communication
- Central Point of Contact: Answer technical questions from the General Contractor's teams (engineers, fitters, assemblers) as well as the Client's DCS engineers.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Logistics Lead, Design Engineers, QA, and Operations teams to ensure the smooth integration of all modules.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong communication with the client and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals.
3. Problem Solving & Operational Support
- Issue Resolution: Identify technical issues encountered by the teams and provide immediate solutions to prevent delays.
- Critical Incident Management: React quickly to provide technical support in the event of critical incidents or unexpected problems on-site.
- Adaptability: Adjust plans and make swift decisions to adapt to changes or constraints during the installation phase.
4. Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Training: Train the client's engineers (DCS) and operators on the proper use and functioning of the installed structures.
Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
- Note: Candidates with an Electrical Engineering degree are eligible if paired with a Mechanical Project Coordinator.
- Experience: Proven experience in managing projects or equipment installation, specifically involving piping, metal constructions, and electrical equipment.
- Languages: Fluency in english and french is mandatory.
