We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant for one of our clients active in the retail industry and based in Brussels. Our partner is one of the world's most prestigious retail groups, bringing together an exceptional portfolio of renowned brands. Due to the internal mobility of one of the collaborators to another branch, our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to reinforce its team. You will join composed of 7 people and you will report to an Accounting Manager. There is a clear opportunity for growth in this role. The Accounting Manager is seeking someone who could potentially step into her position within 2 to 3 years. In that perspective, you would gradually take on additional responsibilities, such as preparing presentations for the Executive Committee, participating in strategic projects, leading an Accounting team and reporting directly to the CFO. General Accounting: oversee monthly/quarterly/yearly closings, manage GL accounts, intercompany transactions and payroll reconciliations Reporting: prepare statutory declarations, draft annual accounts and corporate income tax returns, perform cash analysis/forecasts and handle reporting Audit: prepare audit files and provide support during audits AP support: act as back-up for the AP Specialist, manage purchase invoices, vendor creation and prepare payments Projects: contribute to process harmonization, participate in system and procedure improvements and take part in strategic projects Bachelor's degree in Accounting At least 6 years of experience in a similar position You speak French and Dutch and have some knowledge of English You are highly motivated, with the drive and energy to take ownership of your work You have the potential and ambition to grow, taking on more responsibility and evolving within the organization over time Analytical and well-organized, you are recognized for your ability to solve problems efficiently, manage priorities and handle multiple tasks without losing sight of the details Benefit from an attractive salary package including many advantages such as meal vouchers, hospitalization and group insurances, net expenses, eco vouchers and an annual performance bonus Take advantage of 27 days off and enjoy 2 days of homeworking each week for a better work-life balance Join one of the world's leading retail companies, known for its portfolio of iconic brands, international presence and strong reputation in the market Benefit from the stability of a company that values its people, invests in their growth and encourages long-term career development Step into the Accounting Manager position within 2–3 years, taking on management responsibilities, presenting to the Executive Committee and reporting directly to the CFO Gain hands...
