Job description
Role
Responsible for managing and coordinating all building technical systems and maintenance activities. Focus on operational continuity, compliance, and team oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance and modifications of electrical, HVAC, water, gas, sewage, kitchen, and security systems
- Oversee daily activities of technical teams and contractors
- Monitor and manage the Building Management System (BMS)
- Set up and maintain preventive maintenance programs (including H&S and legal compliance)
- Plan and support upgrades, replacements, and lifecycle management of installations
- Manage outages, risk logs, and continuous improvement actions
- Maintain technical documentation and "as-built" records
- Supervise repairs, maintenance, and building works
- Support installation of technical equipment, labs, and office relocations
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, and drafting SOWs/contracts
- Participate in on-call duty when required
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in facilities/building maintenance
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems (TIA standards)
- Good understanding of HVAC, BMS, and building systems
- Knowledge of fire safety and technical regulations
- Experience managing technical staff and contractors
- Experience with administration, reporting, and documentation tools
- Ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment
- Strong English; working knowledge of French
Desirable
- Experience with AV/presentation systems
- Knowledge of generators, plumbing, and heating systems
- Experience in international or NATO environments
- Awareness of hazardous materials handling
