For the European Commission, we are looking for a Proficient Social Media Manager with at least 5 years of experience:
Responsibilities:
• Promote Youth in social media:
- Empower young people to become active and engaged citizens;
- Highlight achievements in the field of youth;
- Promote opportunities offered to young people from Erasmus+ youth including
DiscoverEU and the European Solidarity Corps programme;
- Draw attention to priority issues of relevance to young people including the priorities
of the new European Commission
• Coordinate, supervise and follow-up of the work executed under the communication
contracts managed in the unit under the supervision of an official.
• Advise on new trends, methods, techniques and tools in communication that could be
used for the communication related to the actions managed in the unit.
• Plan and execute actions according to available resources, define work packages, review
deliverables, and ensure quality control, risk analysis as well as daily management and
follow-up.
• Select relevant information of the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ Youth
actions for dissemination and information purposes, including programmes results, best
practice examples and personal stories.
• Draft press releases, news items for website, interviews and articles etc.
• Contribute to the monitoring of the information activities of the National Agencies for
Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps in particular through the communication
and information officers' network.
• Participate in the preparation and delivery of the annual CIOST (Communication and
Information officers Staff Training) organised by SALTO Participation and
Information.
• Participate in working groups and progress meetings, delivering presentations and
preparing reports on project progress when needed.
• Participate in project-related meetings.
• Look for synergies and guarantee coordination with other EAC initiatives.
• Consult DG EAC colleagues on visual communication matters in order to follow
general guidelines.
• Contribute to the organisation of youth events, such as the European Youth Week event
organisation or the EU Youth Stakeholder Group event, and communication with
internal and external partners.
