Sustainability Director
Your Scope
As the Director of Sustainability, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Ardo’s sustainability strategy in alignment with global ESG standards. You will lead initiatives that reduce environmental impact, promote responsible sourcing, and drive corporate social responsibility. This role reports directly to the CEO and is part of the Executive Committee of Group Ardo.
Your deliverables are:
Develop and execute
a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with Ardo’s growth and commercial goals.
Ensure responsible sourcing
practices across the supply chain, focusing on environmental and social responsibility.
Collaborate
with procurement, supply chain, and agronomy teams to improve sustainable farming practices, including water reduction, biodiversity, and carbon emission reduction.
Set and monitor
sustainability targets, reporting regularly to the CEO and executive board on key KPIs.
Act as a key representative
in external forums, partnerships, and public discussions on sustainability and ESG matters.
Lead the development
of the annual CSR report and ensure proper communication through various channels.
Ensure compliance
with global and local regulations such as CSRD, EU taxonomy, and EUDR.
Mentor and lead
the sustainability team, fostering a culture of sustainability across the organization.
Your profile
We are looking for a highly motivated, decisive leader with a strategic vision for sustainability and excellent project management capabilities. You should possess:
Leadership & Influence:
Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving change in a global organization.
Strategic Thinking:
Ability to align sustainability initiatives with business growth and profitability.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication, able to report to senior management and present to both internal and external stakeholders.
Adaptability:
Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Project Management:
Proven success in managing complex sustainability projects and delivering on-time results.
Collaboration:
Experience in working across departments and fostering a culture of sustainability.
Compliance & Integrity:
Strong understanding of sustainability laws, ethical business practices, and risk management.
Requirements include a university degree, English proficiency (company language), and the ability to operate in a high-pressure environment with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
